The 2019 First Harvest Farm Management, LLC “Competitive Seed Comparison Plot” tour date has been set for Tuesday, September 3rd, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the plot on 235th Avenue, southeast of Pittsfield. Dinner to follow.
This year, the plot contains 12 hybrids with each hybrid participating in 3 replications involving starter fertilizer and biologic additive trials. At the plot tour, representatives from Valent USA and Prairieland F.S. will share with the tour participants the benefits of using the seed additives applied in-furrow at planting on the hybrids.
At harvest, we’ll compare the yield differential and income advantage from using the seed enhancement products.
