Another passing rainfall event

Nice Rain Event. Escaped Any Wind Damage

The First Harvest Farm Management, LLC plot received .25″ rain in Monday evening thunderstorm on May 14.  Lots of lightning and thunder and wind, but no observed damage to the growing corn.  This rain is very welcome and will help tremendously as the plot is still behind normal on rainfall for the growing season.  

The Corn is Emerging!!

Joe checked the First Harvest plot this a.m. and you can see the various hybrids beginning to emerge thru the ground.  This is Day 8 post-planting and warm temperatures the latter part of last week and Thursday’s rainfall have really been a benefit to the plot.

Rainfall Benefits First Harvest Plot

After a very dry planting season to date, the First Harvest Farm Management, LLC plot received a wonderful rainfall, totaling 1.15″ over the night-time hours of Wednesday, May 2 and during the day on Thursday, May 3.  A great rainfall and the soon to emerge corn hybrids seemed to soak up every drop.
